Candidates may be located anywhere in BC but APB is particularly looking for individuals who are familiar with the legal needs of low income Vancouver Island, Kootenay or Northern BC residents; have non-profit fundraising experience; demonstrated engagement in providing or facilitating pro bono legal services; and/or reflect the province's diversity through physical abilities, gender, ethnicity or cultural perspective.
Directors serve two-year terms that are renewable to a maximum of three consecutive terms. The time commitment -- which includes attending board or committee meetings, leadership, financial oversight, policy works, supporting and attending community events, as well as fundraising -- is four to six hours a month.
