Land title searches are necessary legal documentation required "prior to purchasing or selling any piece of fee simple property in BC." Dye & Durham Corporation provides their Title Search with Title Summarizer service; a product which includes a public record to determine and confirm a property’s legal ownership, charges, liens and interests to find out what claims are on the property. The Summarizer Report segregates charges into financial and non-financial, highlights involuntary charges and reminds buyers and sellers of potential problems. The Report also includes registered owner(s), parcel identifier (PID) number, full legal description, taxation authority, legal notations, liens, encumbrances and miscellaneous notes.
