2013 Justice Summit Report coming in December

CBABC Dismayed at 2013 Provincial Budget

BC's provincial government released its 2013 budget yesterday, to the dismay of the CBA BC Branch, which "expressed disappointment that the government has ignored clear messages from those within and outside of the justice system that there is a critical need for increased financial support for legal aid and the justice system as a whole." Salvation Army's Pro Bono Program Closes

As reported by Access Pro Bono, the Salvation Army's Pro Bono Program officially shut down its operations last Monday, November 26. According to APB's blog post, "APB will be working quickly to set up new legal advice clinics in BC communities that are now left unserved. APB will also serve individuals from communities without a clinic via telephone or Skype."
